Laboratory Coordinator

Due to internal promotion, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Coordinator to join our team, based out of our Tingalpa office. This role will support the Quality Manager in leading the site in Quality Systems and processes through the consultation and empowerment of front-line teams to ensure testing and quality procedures are understood and executed correctly. The Central Laboratory Coordinator will also be responsible for the coordination of daily activities for the Central Laboratory Technicians and the General Laboratory Assistants. Train appropriate plant personnel in Quality program execution Training/monitoring production team members in QA techniques Maintaining a vital information link between team members and management Support and coach Central Laboratory Technicians’ to provide plant personnel with a complete picture of Quality efforts Ensure equipment is properly calibrated Identify and overcome barriers to improving Quality Review and allocate Quality Resources Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Demonstrated experience and knowledge of manufacturing and/or Supply Chain (FMCG) functions and snack food processes; Proven experience in collaborating, consulting and influencing stakeholders in all levels of an organisation; Effective communication and interpersonal skills; Good working knowledge of food safety and sanitation theories. Change management / project management experience across a broad audience; Tertiary qualification in quality systems, food science and Technology, science or a related discipline is desirable.
