Senior SQL/Azure Database Administrator

Republic Finance is seeking a Senior SQL/Azure Database Administrator. This role will report to the Director of Data Management and be a member of a growing, 5 person Data Management and Engineering team with substantial opportunity for future growth within the company in concert with driving business expansion. Key responsibilities are as follows: Support Azure Data Engineering Platform Architecture and SQL Server Database in high SLA environments. This includes On Prem IAAS, Cloud IAAS, Azure SQL and Azure SQL MI. Contributes to direction of Azure cloud migration. Install, configure, and fine tune MS SQL 2019, 2016, 2014, 2012 and 2008 R2 in PureStorage environment. Requirements Must have Azure SQL MI Administration, Azure SQL Database Support and SQL Server Database Administration. Proficient in High availability (Always on / Replication / Mirroring / Clustering etc.) Proficient in SSIS package support and troubleshoot in case any performance issues. Experience in Upgrade / Database Migrations between different SQL versions or Different data centers. Experience working with storage mount points for SQL Server and establish disk I/O baselines. Experience working with VLDB’s over 1TB in size. Good Experience using Redgate/SQLSentry analyzing it for root cause analysis and monitoring will be a strong advantage. Good knowledge in T-SQL with key focus on Performance tuning. Working experience managing and automating SQL Server with Powershell. Database administration of OLTPs and OLAP and ensure continuous 24x7 operation and availability in support of mission critical business applications and participating in on-call rotation.
