THE OPPORTUNITY This unique and rewarding role reports to the Associate Medical Director PAH. The role is available due to an internal promotion. We are looking for an Medical Science Liaison/Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL/SMSL), depending on experience. You will be the therapeutic expert for Janssens market leading rare disease Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Portfolio. We will also consider a Medical Doctor looking for a move into the pharmaceutical industry. Janssens patient focus and customer centric approach have established Janssen as preferred partners with PAH clinicians. Our approach with this portfolio is different as PAH is a rare disease with smaller patient numbers. You will be joining a team with an entrepreneurial mid set and collaborative approach. It is our mandate to continue to understand how we can serve our clinicians and patients better. Now we to continue to innovate with technology, improved referral pathways and new referral centers to improve and streamline the patient journey. Our customers are – Cardiologists, Respiratory Physicians, Rheumatologists, PAH nurses and Cardiac Sonographers. This role is ideally based in NSW, however we will also consider candidates based in QLD. Qualifications RESPONSIBILITIES The primary role of the MSL is to support education, research, information dissemination, and scientific intelligence activities. The MSL is considered the clinical and scientific expert on Janssen PAH current and future products. Engage clinicians to maintain long term scientific relationships, serving as a resource, responding to research, educational and clinical practice needs. Understand and gather new insights into current and emerging treatment pathways and clinical trends. Work as part of a broader cross-functional team to deliver insights and projects adding value to our customers and patients Presentation of scientific data to KOLs and HCP audiences. Attend industry and scientific conferences. Train and educate internal stakeholders. Establish and maintain networks and relationships both internally and externally.
