Surprising results.</p><strong>MARKETING PLANNING MANAGER</strong></p><strong>Roles available: </strong>x2</p><strong>Salary:</strong> £37,000 - £40,000 per annum</p><strong>Contract: </strong>Permanent</p><strong>Hours: </strong> Full time 35 hours per week. We're open to a variety of ways of working, including full time, part time, job share and compressed hours.</p><strong>Location:</strong> Stratford, London. That's why we're looking for someone talented, someone who wants to develop their skills, someone like you. </p>We are looking for two highly organised professionals to support the development of Cancer Research UK's centralised marketing planning function. They will project manage the end-to-end workflow and planning process for some of the most recognisable marketing campaigns in the UK.</p>This is an exciting opportunity to work with key decision makers across a broad range of projects, all with the aim of inspiring our audience to support our mission and raise funds for our life-saving research.</p><strong>What will I be doing?</strong></p><ul><li>Working closely with teams across the organisation, including Product, Insight, Communications, Brand and Audience and Product Marketing teams to effectively project manage the marketing planning process</p></li><li>Being an expert for strategic marketing planning, influencing and negotiating with stakeholders to achieve buy-in</p></li><li>Briefing, managing and partnering with media agencies to ensure optimal strategic alignment and fully integrated campaign planning, taking a supporter-centric approach</p></li><li>Maintaining an overall view of the end-to-end marketing workflow, establishing processes that support this and managing key stakeholder relationships</p></li><li>Working closely with the Marketing performance team to draw actionable insight from past campaign learnings and qualitative and quantitative sources</p></li><li>Analysing campaign results, evaluate performance against KPIs and spot opportunities to optimise activity and increase ROI</p></li><li>Supporting marketing planning team senior leadership in setting overarching marketing objectives, KPIs and budgets; translating these into a strategic brief for cross-portfolio media. Oversee the production and approval process</p></li><li>Working with specialist Channel teams to drive marketing effectiveness</p></li><li>Managing cross-portfolio resource planning and supplier management processes to effectively and efficiently deliver cross-channel marketing strategy</p></li><li>Taking a future-facing view of marketing trends and developments as well as competitor activity to ensure Cancer Research UK's marketing communications stay ahead of the curve</p></li></ul><strong>What skills are we looking for?</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent project management and communication skills with experience of managing and improving priority workstreams involving multiple teams and stakeholders</p></li><li>Strategic thinker with relevant experience of planning and delivering complex, multi-channel campaigns</p></li><li>A data-driven, analytical mindset with experience of interpreting results and recommending opportunities for optimisation</p></li><li>Strong understanding of end-to-end supporter journeys and the role of different channels in fully integrated campaigns </p></li><li>Relevant experience of managing and motivating agencies to drive maximum value from relationships</p></li><li>Relevant experience of building positive working relationships and influencing others and working effectively as part of a team</p></li><li>Experience of managing own workload, meeting deadlines and effectively handling changing priorities</p></li><li>Commercially aware with relevant budget management experience</p></li><li>Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint</p></li></ul><strong>What will I gain?</strong></p>Each and every one of our employees contributes to our progress and is supporting our work to beat cancer.
