<p><b>Overview / Responsibilities </b><br />

Wood has a collaborative maintenance contract with Seqwater to deliver leading maintenance services in the water industry. These projects cover South East Queensland across multiple locations.<br />
<br />
Wood is currently recruiting for a Technical Specialist (Mechanical) to join our team at Hinze Dam. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical mechanical support for the maintenance and project management teams in relation to operation, maintenance, refurbishment and augmentation of mechanical assets used in water treatment and bulk water storage. The role will also provide technical advice and support to the maintenance coordinators, field staff and contractors within the region.<br />

<br />
<b>Responsibilities </b></p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>
<li>Provide leading maintenance technical support and advice and resolve complex technical issues for the maintenance and project teams</li>
<li>Assist in unplanned/responsive maintenance issues, incidents, or emergency issues to diagnose potential plant faults/issues and identify the resource requirements for rectification</li>
<li>Review, scope and assist in development of Business cases and provide technical review of proposed projects</li>
<li>Participate in cross functional work teams to identify, investigate, develop and implement improvement projects; and also participate in system audits</li>
<li>Provide valuable maintenance input into project delivery phases including planning, design, construction, commissioning and closeout to deliver best practise capital projects</li>
<li>Maintain effective communication with management, process engineers, operators and contractors, community and other maintenance personnel, as required, to ensure the safe and efficient plant operation in accordance with agreed procedures</li>
<li>Participate in hazard identification/risk management activities for both project and maintenance teams (e.g. HAZOPs, risk assessment development)</li>
<li>Attend and actively participate in safety meetings and audits and implement safety related policies and procedures on site and ensure safety in design</li>
<li>Undertake other duties, which are assigned from time to time by the Minor Works Program Coordinator</li>
</ul>

<b>Experience: </b></p>

<ul>
<li>Knowledge and understanding of the scope, function and nature of the mechanical assets used in water treatment and bulk water storage</li>
<li>Knowledge of processes used to assess the condition of assets and establish the most appropriate maintenance regime for the assets</li>
<li>Technical knowledge of industry best practice and asset requirements in the water industry</li>
<li>Extensive experience in the field of maintenance of water assets or similar industry</li>
<li>Extensive experience in detailing technical requirements for a maintenance team</li>
<li>Demonstrated technical knowledge regarding design and maintenance of assets with the ability to review specifications and project scopes</li>
<li>Self-motivation and ability to work autonomously where required as well as display a willingness to participate positively and constructively in the enhancement of the team environment.</li>

<li>Associate Diploma in Engineering, or an appropriate trade qualification in mechanical or electrical discipline</li>
<li>Post trade qualification in maintenance management practices is desirable</li>
<li>Current &quot;C&quot; class Queensland drivers&
39; licence</li>
