Job Summary Responsible for planning and designing new software and web applications. Analyzes, tests and assists with the integration of new applications. Oversees the documentation of all development activity. Trains non-technical personnel. Assists with tracking performance metrics. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise. Job Description Core Responsibilities Work closely with various stakeholders inside the team to interpret business requirements and deliver high quality, customer focused technical solutions. Be a part of an agile environment primarily using open source technologies and the best deployment techniques. Design solutions that leverage platforms written using to Java, Scala, ReactJS, NodeJS, Docker, and Kubernetes. Practice and drive the best technology and software architecture practices into the team with passion and enthusiasm. Document business requirements as well as non-functional requirements enabling agile development. Participate in wider Architecture discussions forums to design key platform features enabling scaling to millions of customers Group Identity Platform: Our priority is to exceptional, seamless and secure customer digital experience for millions of customers? We are the platform responsible for creating and managing user profiles - “Sky identities” - used across Sky’s propositions, entitlements, services the Sky customer has signed up for, and 3rd party partners (e.g. Virgin Media). Propositions use the Identity platform to create and modify user profiles and authenticate based on email + password combinations. Identity provide components to support this functionality and issue tokens to validate users and ensure they have the relevant privileges to access certain content/services. Experience with the following is required: Solution Design and Architecture of highly scaled web-facing consumer platforms What you'll bring: 5 years’ experience in a similar role Experience producing high and low-level designs for web-facing consumer platforms Experience with Cloud-native designs, particularly AWS Experience with Authentication & Authorization frameworks such as OAuth2 / OpenID Connect Detailed knowledge of HTTP, REST, JSON and other modern communication protocols Detailed knowledge of common architecture patterns, including: horizontal scaling, queuing, caching, persistence and others Detailed knowledge of securing web-facing consumer platforms Comcast is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
