Find out more: Annual Report 2021 EHS Advisor - 12 month contract We have a new opportunity for an EHS Advisor to join our team here at Worthing on a 12 month contract. The EHS Team at Worthing provides the site with a framework to handle Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) risks. This incorporates a wide range of responsibilities, including assessment of EHS risk, formulation of policies and procedures to align with legal and company standards, and setting of EHS objectives and targets (eg; performance monitoring; emergency planning; incident and accident investigation and crisis management). Reporting to one of the Site EHS Leads, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective safety, health and environmental management systems across the Worthing campus. This includes the provision of technical advice and assistance to managers and staff to enable EHS performance to be managed effectively (and contributing towards achieving the Worthing site vision and commercial objectives). We are particularly interested in hearing from experienced professionals with NEBOSH certification (either at Certificate or Diploma level) and those with a background in Industrial Hygiene and Environmental Management. We would love to meet EHS professionals with a strong continuous improvement mindset. In this role you will Development, dissemination, implementation, monitoring and review of site–wide or area/departmental EHS procedures and practices. Provide clear and credible EHS advice to multi-disciplinary project teams dealing with site or area EHS development issues (taking account of statutory and corporate requirements and site business objectives). Maintain effective and constructive relationships with key EHS stakeholders, such as regulatory authorities, GSK corporate functions, contractors and suppliers. Advise, assist and monitor key managers and staff to ensure the site maintains an audit-ready status at all times. Identify, investigating and report on serious incidents, injuries, occupational illness, and EHS compliance contraventions and formulating and recommending remedial actions to management (including maintaining a site incident management plan and relevant resources). Responsible for ensuring EHS competence and capabilities are robust within the different value streams across site to ensure safety is sufficiently managed within the areas without sole reliance on the site EHS team. Work closely with all value streams’ EHS representatives to implement the EHS capability plan, build and implement a strong EHS culture plan underpinned by the foundations of GSK’s Life Saving Rules, developing culture KPIs to track progress across site.
