Associate Director, Application Development

The Role: Associate Director, Application Development Grade: 12 Location: Gurgaon/Hyderabad Foreseer is the strategic system of choice in digital transformation space at SPGMI for information extraction from documents and websites. Foreseer is a human in the loop platform that combines latest AI/ML advances with a state of the art UI for delivering multiple projects, all powered by a core distributed, cloud native, auto scalable framework. This position requires a demonstrable ability to combine problem-solving skills with deep technical and delivery know how. Responsibilities: Support and foster a quality-first, agile culture that is built on partnership, trust and sharing Design, develop and maintain functionalities to create new solutions on the platform. Learning and understanding all aspects of the framework and the project deliverables. Be technically deep and provide input on architecture, design and code. Be responsible for driving technical design, architecture and implementation of new features and iterations of your project. Collaborate with release management for your project delivery. Partner with product management and stakeholders for project delivery. Experience & Qualifications: BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Information Technology 12+ years full stack development experience in modern web development technologies, Java, REST APIs, AWS (including autoscaling), Tomcat, JMS, SQL, Postgres. Hands-on experience on developing distributed, scalable and multithreading applications. 5+ Hands-on experience contributing to application architecture & designs, proven software/enterprise integration design patterns and full-stack knowledge including modern distributed front end and back-end technology stacks Quality first mindset with a strong background and experience with developing products for a global audience at scale Excellent analytical thinking, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with strong ability to influence both IT and business partners Financial services industry experience 5+ years of experience in leading global teams in an agile environment. Experience with Performance tuning, Thread dump analysis, code refactoring Experience with carrying out POCs to onboard new technologies and/or solutions that suit business problems and suggest technologies to build and enhance solutions. Preferred qualifications: Deep knowledge and commitment to CI/CD and Agile/XP and modern design principles. Knowledge in cloud based development methodologies and state of the art design patterns Experience with building and supporting solutions in the cloud including a strong understanding of cloud native architectures, design patterns and best practices Prior experience in enterprise data and content related projects.
