Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Close Out Engineer with experience in the oil and gas industry.<br />
<br />
Contributes to delivery by:</p>
<ul>
<li>Progressing upon a development pathway towards becoming an experienced Lead Engineer within the technical discipline.</li>
<li>Executing assigned scopes of work in a timely manner and within Key Performance Indicator (KPI) schedules.</li>
<li>Providing discipline expertise to the business.</li>
<li>Delivering and actively promoting the Wood core values, policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Displaying significant understanding of Wood/ Client systems and processes.</li>
<li>Driving safety leadership and ensuring safe delivery of multi-discipline work scopes.</li>
<li>Executing assigned scopes of work as a role model for reports.</li>
<li>Supporting and supervising reports as required.</li>

39;s work pack process, giving clear activity breakdown and detailed narratives for all construction activities.</li>
<li>To contribute discipline experience to the ongoing development of project work methods, processes and team development.</li>
<li>Carry out a review of all work packs. Feedback any issues to lead or relevant engineering discipline. This will include input at scope survey and engineering stage.</li>
<li>Ensure that all plant and equipment meets requirements, fully certificated and controlled cost effectively.</li>
<li>Attend meetings on behalf of Wood and inform project management of any issues arising from these meetings.</li>
<li>Liaise closely with the lead / coordinators to ensure all sub-contractors personnel, materials, plant, equipment, vendors, special tools, common user&
39;s services and consumables are correctly resourced and available.</li>
<li>Deliver against agreed planned work scopes ensuring obligations are met by way of timely completion of work packs.</li>
<li>Ensure effective control of all material movements.</li>
<li>If identified, react to change in scope, inform necessary parties and complete the necessary change management documentation.</li>
<li>Check plant performance and subsequent verification are completed in accordance with requirements.</li>
<li>Participate in audits and incident investigations as required.</li>
<li>Set performance expectations for direct reports against agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI&
39;s).</li>
<li>Continuous involvement with project management, engineering, planning and costing disciplines.</li>
</ul>

<li>Display and apply knowledge of site safe working practices and client safety procedures and standards.</li>
<li>Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of technical specifications and mentor reports.</li>

<li>Have a good technical knowledge of discipline and associated processes.</li>

<b>Minimum Qualifications:</b></p>

<li>Time served relevant trade discipline or relevant NVQ/SVQ/HNC/HND.</li>
<li>MIST/BOSIET.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Minimum Experience:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>relevant construction experience.</li>
<li>Oil and gas experience is advantageous or proven track record in industry with transferable skills.</li>
<li>Exposure to working within a technical environment.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Very good interpersonal organisational, communication and team building skills.</li>
<li>Computer literate. </li>
<li>Sound discipline technical knowledge.</li>
