Technical Delivery Lead

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently looking for a Technical Delivery Lead to strengthen our team in Iraq. The successful candidate will be an energetic team leader who will inspire the engineering team to work together to perform, with excellent supervisory and organizational skills. <br><ul><li> This is a rotational based job on 6 weeks ON and 2 weeks OFF in Iraq </li><li> To provide a single point of contact for all engineering matters, clarifications, queries and Client communication across the contracts. </li><li> To manage a multi-discipline engineering and design team to delivery scope of work safely and within quality/cost/schedule constraints and in accordance with applicable codes and standards and Client's policies and procedures </li><li> To provide direction and guidance on all technical queries relating to engineering office in Iraq </li><li> To participate in and/or lead all project safety and design reviews as necessary </li><li> To liaise with the Client's Engineering, Operations and Maintenance staff as required to ensure stakeholder requirements are addressed and a consistent approach to project completion </li><li> To promote safe behaviour at all times </li><li> Setting performance expectations and maintaining standards for the development and retention of a motivated team </li><li> Management of key stakeholders during the execution of the NGL project </li><li> Promote Corporate/Client procedures. </li><li> Providing sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems across the NGL project </li><li> Identify areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and own implementation of corrective actions as required </li><li> Lead weekly progress meetings and generate status reports as required by Wood and the contract for engineering delivery </li><li> Review engineering team technical competency and manpower requirements and, in consultation with the overall project Lead Discipline Engineers, participate in the recruitment, selection and transfer of resources </li><li> Lead internal audit process and implantation of Technical Assurance requirements </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline (B.Sc./B.Eng./M.Sc.) </li><li> Membership of a recognised professional institute preferred </li><li> Minimum of 15 years experience in the oil and gas industry </li><li> Minimum of 6 years proven capability in an engineering design company in the role of Engineering Manager or Principal Engineer, responsible for coordinating multi-discipline teams </li><li> Experience of site-based project work involving field engineering, construction and commissioning would be an advantage </li><li> Demonstrated leadership experience and previous track record of successfully supervising teams </li><li> Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred </li><li> Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage </li><li> Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of engineering design and project delivery through FEED and EPC phases </li><li> Thorough awareness of relevant international codes and standards </li><li> Experience with company business management system and quality assurance processes </li><li> Experience of the application design and safety reviews, including HAZOP, HAZID and SIL Rating to Engineering Design </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
