Responsibilities Cook Diamond Grove Center is searching for an experienced Cook for our Dietary Department. This position will be a PRN position with limited hours. Diamond Grove Center is a 55 bed, behavioral psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful neighborhood of Louisville, Miss. Diamond Grove Center features individual units for children, adolescents, and offers inpatient care acute care, as well as residential treatment for adolescents. On average 1000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Diamond Grove Center Hospital. Cooks in our dietary department perform a variety of roles from preparing meals to serving our patients, staff and physicians, whlie preparing trays for patients on the units. A smile and friendly attitude will help make you successful in this role as you interact with co-workers, patients and others. Ensuring your duties are completed successfully and timely are also important in this role. What Will You Get To Do? Cooks are responsible for completing the following duties and tasks: Preparing food serving line, ensuring sufficient eating utensils, trays,napkinsk and paper cups Serving meals in the cafeteria and assembling patients trays Storing Deliveries Assisting with food preparation Cleaning work area and work stations What Does Diamond Grove Center Require for this Role? Minimum of one year cooking experience in an institution. Good physical health. Must be able to operate and care for dietary equipment. Must have stability to work cooperatively with other staff members. Preferred high school diploma or GED.
