Tools Consultant

Role Purpose The purpose of this role is to support delivery throughdevelopment and deployment of tools. Do Provide tool design, development and deployment support forthe project delivery Interact with the internal project or client to understand theproject requirement from a tool perspective Design the solution keeping in mind the tool requirements,current tools available as well as details on licenses required etc. Provide budget and timeline estimates for the tool development/deployment as required For any new tool development, identify sources for development(internal or 3rd party) and work with the project managers onthe development of the tool keeping in mind the production rollouttimelines Conduct commercial discussions with the 3rd partyvendors for licenses or tool development Conduct appropriate testing to ensure error free deployment ofthe tool on the project Ensure deployment of tool on time and within the estimatedbudget Stakeholder Interaction Stakeholder Type Stakeholder Identification Purpose of Interaction Internal Delivery Manager Client/ Project requirement, Tool development/ deployment budget,timeline, reporting etc. Project Managers Coordinating for development of tool as per requirements withintimelines and budget External Clients Understanding requirements for tool 3rd Party Vendors Coordinating for development of tool as per requirements withintimelines and budget Display Lists the competencies required to perform this role effectively: Functional Competencies/ Skill Delivery Process – Understanding of the delivery processeswithin Wipro etc. – Competent Domain Knowledge – Knowledge of available tools in themarket, competencies of key third party vendors etc. -Expert Technical Knowledge – Knowledge of tools and alternatesolutions, tool development cycle etc. – Competent toExpert Competency Levels Foundation Knowledgeable about the competency requirements.
