Manager Creative

Who are we hiring? This position will serve under VP Development to help manage the department including (but not limited to Studio Tour coordination, management of Creator Web Portal, creative development and managing Partnerships.) The Manager will ensure our interactions with potential talent are handled at the highest levels, and that the communication is expertly managed. They will act as a major interface with MSG Sphere sales and partnership and other Studio experts as we develop content concepts. This position requires attention to detail, diligence, organization, communication, discretion, and an ability to stay calm under pressure. What will you do? CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT • Help manage outside relationships of the department including experts in audience research, visual effect, or vestibular motion • Assist in ideating concepts, artists and performers for Sphere Onboarding • Assist in producing potential Sphere Show pitches and proofs-of-concepts • Coordinate internal and external demographics research & audience study data • Manage distribution of Playdate Headsets / other SimViz technology to talent as they are onboarded • Provide coordination and logistical support for special events and projects under the direction of senior executives and project managers, including planning travel related to these outside relationships / experts • Oversee expense management: processing travel, entertainment, and business expense reports • Manage database of creative partners (current and potential) TOURS • Coordinate visits to Sphere Studios, Big Dome and Las Vegas Sphere for Creatives, including booking and confirming all travel, meeting agendas, booking time in Big Dome, and distributing all necessary information out to appropriate teams and managing NDA process. • Manage communication and follow-up communication, schedule management and concept ideation between talent, their reps, potential business partners and the Studio Development Department CREATOR WEB PORTAL • Assist VP Development to manage the Creator Portal website with content updates and changes • Mange and update Creator Portal access with IT/marketing to outside users • Provide quality assurance, proofing and editing copy for consistency • Provide access and training to talents for MSG Creator Portal website when appropriate and approved. • Work with Legal & Threat Management on qualifying and authorizing access to Creator Portal • Directly make updates to CMS with content that needs to be posted to the Creator Portal • Work with technology on any features, requests, functionalities that arise PARTNERSHIPS • Create clear, compelling and cohesive brand experiences when there are overlaps and cooperation opportunities with the Creative Department • Collaborate on the development and ideation of pitches, presentations, creative treatments, and brand experiences from concept through delivery, including problem framing, solutions approaches, creative concepts and supporting tactics across MSG Sphere's diverse portfolio of platforms and products • Provide quality assurance, proofing, and editing team copy and presentation materials for clarity, consistency, and maximum impact • Play an essential role in the ideation of partner solutions both internally and with MSG Sphere's external partners What do you need to succeed? • 5-10 years experience in the entertainment industry, with an emphasis on Creative Development, Physical Production, Talent Handling, and/or Talent Partnerships • Work history that includes professional, reliable, and responsible interaction with A-List celebrities, their management team and support staff • Experience in event planning for multiple categories of guests: artistic talent, legal representation, outside business interests, VIP personal guests, etc • Experience booking travel on a high level. • Experience in entertainment industry budget / schedule analysis and written feedback • Demonstrated experience in Website Content Management • Training in project and workflow management • High level of commitment and demonstrated flexibility with the availability to work evening and weekends, when necessary • Demonstrate integrity, tact, diplomacy, and a commitment to company values and principles while ensuring the upmost consistency • Ability to work closely with various departments to create a hospitable work environment for employees and tour guests • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills • Proficient in Mac, Keynote, Microsoft Office • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills; precise, tactful, and articulate • Active listener, able to take a verbal brief and self-initiate work • A self-starter with excellent organizational and communication abilities • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment, while juggling multiple projects Why is MSG for me?
