Job Overview: Supply chain analytics group is responsible for delivering the solutions and developing the capabilities which enables better decision-making in supply chain. This team works closely with all supply chain functions (i.e. plan, source, make, deliver and customer service teams), business units and other cross functional partners for developing solutions to drive business value. This team also drives step-change innovation and improvements in business practices by delivering actionable insights through advanced analytics and supply chain expertise. Position involves the primary responsibility of a Python Developer which involves heavy use of Python, R, SQL Applications which will be used by our Manufacturing and Engineering Stakeholders. The secondary responsibilities will include coaching and mentoring the team with industry best practices of Coding and Development Job Responsibilities: 20% of Time Requirement Gathering - Understand Project charter- Business context, Scope, Outcome & success criteria - Identify area of the analysis like Type of App needed, the type of architecture needed 60% of Time Front End and Back end Development - Backend Development using Python, SQL, R. - R Shiny / Dash App Development - API development (Rest, Plumber and Flask) - MongoDB / MYSQL/ Oracle SQL Programming - ETLs/Pipeline setup - Web Application deployment (RS Connect/GKE and other ways of deployment) - Perform automated testing on the models - Support bug fixes/enhancements on existing models - Version Control of Codes/Projects using Git - Write Clean, Modular and Scalable Codes - CICD Experience, Orchestration Experience - Dash and Flask 20% of Time Best Practices and Technical Mentoring - Demonstrate success through margin savings or additional revenue generation as well as commitment to quality and timeliness - Document all the processes and solutions and Best practices - Train and Mentor the Team on best practices for Both Front and Backend Development - Communicate effectively with broad audience i.e. client/stakeholders/cross functional team - Tableau dashboard development and maintenance - RS connect application management Education Minimum Degree Requirements: Bachelors Preferred Degree Requirements: Masters Preferred Major Area of Study: B. Tech/ M. Tech in Computer Science /Information Technology/Information Systems Preferred Professional Certifications: Programming certifications (Front End Development, ReactJS, SQL/Python, Hacker Rank) Experience Minimum years of related experience required: 2-3 years Preferred years of related experience: 3 years Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed: Working Knowledge on Backend Programming Languages like R, SQL and Python Working Knowledge on building R Shiny or Dash Apps is a bonus Working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational database, query authoring as well as familiarity with variety of databases Good to have experience in any cloud platforms: GCP, Big query Strong project management and organizational skills. Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. Must have: Jquery, R , SQL, MySQL/Oracle SQL, RShiny, REST API , Plumber and Flask API Nice to have: Working Knowledge on Front End Development using HTML5, CSS3 , Javascript, ReactJS Experience with Visual Studio, DAX, MS Excel, VBA macro, Tableau, Power BI, SSAS, SSIS Experience with big data tools- GCP, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Big Query, Google data tools etc. Competencies/Behaviors required for job: Learning Agility Clearly articulates views in written and verbal discussions Additional Information: This position reports to the Supply Chain Analytics group with the Supply Chain Division at GIC.
