Must reside in Florida and be able to attend training and orientation in Sarasota if hired (aproximately 4 weeks - varies based on experience). * Advanced Coding Specialist * Coding Specialist * Entry Level Coder PRN * Coding Quality Auditor Required Qualifications Coding Specialist - 1 year acute/inpatient coding work experience required Advance Coding Specialist - 3 years acute/inpatient work experience required Coding Specialist & Advance Coding Specialist positions require one of the following certifications: American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) certification as a Certified Coding Specialist(CCS) American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) as a Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) Entry Level Coder - Require completion of basic introductory coding courses including ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pathology, and pharmacology. Coding Quality Auditor: - Require certification by AHIMA as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or certification by American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) as a Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) or Certified Outpatient Coder (COC). - Require certification by AHIMA as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)* or Bachelor's level degree. *In lieu of certification, must be currently enrolled in an accredited HIM program. Must successfully pass the certification exam within six (6) months of program completion. Preferred Qualifications - Hospital acute care coding experience.
