<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><p>In Deals we solve the important problems that stand in the way of value being created, sustained, realised or protected for our clients &ndash; working together to aid responsible recovery and growth.</p><p>Working on iconic deals with national and global clients, we put together major mergers and acquisitions and resolve business crises - from international take-over bids to financial crime investigations and cases of insolvency.</p><p>We draw upon our deals experience across many industries to support and partner with our clients, to positively impact society and the communities in which we operate.</p><p><strong>Restructuring &amp; Forensics</strong></p><p>In Restructuring &amp; Forensics we focus on supporting our clients through the Protect and Recover stages of the business cycle. We combine restructuring services such as financial restructuring, liability restructuring and corporate simplification with Digital and Forensic Investigations and Financial Crime teams. We support clients in stress or distress situations, seeking to support them to respond, restructure and transform, as well as prepare for, respond to and emerge stronger from a wide range of business risks and issues.. We could be involved in any one, or all of these types of engagements.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><br /><p><b>About the role</b></p><p></p><p>You’ll be supporting the Opportunities Unit in: </p><ul><li><p>Early identification of restructuring opportunities by leveraging market intelligence and internal and external networks at PwC</p></li><li><p>Assessing credit worthiness of companies by analysing liquidity, capital/corporate structures etc</p></li><li><p>Liaising with Partners/Directors to develop leads into a fee paying engagements</p></li><li><p>Working with subject matter experts to produce thought leadership pieces and thematic research on key sectors and industries</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>You’ll be: </b></p><ul><li><p>Analysing financial accounts and models including P&amp;L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements</p></li><li><p>Reviewing capital and corporate structures </p></li><li><p>Reviewing bond/loan documentation  </p></li><li><p>Analysing historical trends and scrutinising forecasts</p></li><li><p>Modelling certain areas, such as cash flow forecasts</p></li><li><p>Writing up your findings in short documents and/or presentations </p></li></ul><p></p><p>We empower people to determine their own career path. Whatever your ambition, we will support your learning and development, within one of the world’s leading professional organisations.</p><p></p><p><b>Essential skills:</b></p><ul><li><p>Sound business and financial analysis skills, including developing and reviewing financial forecasts and KPI’s </p></li><li><p>Strong commercial and business acumen</p></li><li><p>Good excel modelling skills and knowledge of the MS office package</p></li><li><p>Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable communicating with all levels</p></li><li><p>Effective communicator; both written and verbal</p></li><li><p>Curious and willing to learn new skills </p></li><li><p>Ability to multitask and demonstrate flexibility</p></li><li><p>Willing to challenge and question information</p></li><li><p><b>Must be willing to travel to London and stay overnight when necessary</b></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Desirable skills: </b></p><ul><li><p>Ideally a part qualification or fully qualified with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with visualisation software such as Tableau, Power BI is desirable, but not essential as knowledge can be developed in role</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with Google suite a bonus, but not essential</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Where you will be working:</p><p></p><p><u>Your office location will be Cardiff,</u> However, we work with a great diversity of clients, in locations both in and outside the UK. There may be occasions where travel is required, to ensure you are at the heart of the project with the wider Restructuring &amp; Forensics team. </p><p></p><p>With an increasingly agile workforce, we&
