Proposal Engineer - Microgrids

êton’s Electrical Engineering Services and Systems (EESS) sector is currently seeking a Proposal Engineer for Microgrids to join our team. This position can be based at our Lewiston, ME, or another of the listed locations. This individual develops proposals for large and/or complex projects pertaining to EESS Project Operations Group specifically related to Microgrid / Energy Transition and Distributed Energy Resource (DERs) solutions. This individual will be involved with other Eaton groups to develop and lead the proposals. Some of these groups include EESS engineering design group, automation / Microgrid control group, project operations group, equipment supply chain and the marketing group. This individual will lead the proposal effort and pull in the necessary resources to complete the proposals. In this function you will: Specifically support MicroGrid control and complete turnkey systems, including integration with battery suppliers, distributed generation suppliers and electrical, civil, structural and mechanical subcontractors as required. Support proposal requests from US national locations. Respond to requests from Project Operations Managers, Sales, Utility / Cooper & Other Reps, Channel Partners, EESS Market Segment Managers (Utility, Industrial, Government, Commercial), and others. Detailed technical and commercial proposal writing and providing solutions beyond the standard specifications to provide greater customer value, especially for use of DER assests and control schemes based on a standardized hardware platform and applications. Pricing development, working with supply chain, vendors, subcontractors and internal Eaton groups. Travel as required for site-visits, customer meetings and sales training meetings. Providing creative solutions beyond the standard specifications to provide greater customer value.
