In this opportunity, you will play the role of an advanced level technology specialist and subject matter expert, providing customer guidance by facilitating technical workshops, and implementation of use cases into high-quality solutions. In addition to customer facing responsibilities, you would also provide technical input to other business units, pre-sales and drive best practices in the form of document creation. Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing You will be expected to effectively work as part of a wider project team or independently act as technical SME on S360 Accelerator delivery. You should be able to identify opportunities and work with the team/customer to deliver them You should be able to deliver GUIDE/BUILD Accelerators (Projects) for customers across the globe. Take ownership and accountability for individual deliverables. Proactively define project requirements/issues/constraints/risks and address them with PMs You should be able to effectively collaborate within different product workstreams within the team and with Business units, identify current gaps and find a way to bridge them You should be able to mentor other team members and provide them technical and consultative guidance as needed The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? Consult and deliver on technology areas like Designing, Architecting & Deploying VMware Cloud Foundation 3.x, 4.x Good Knowledge on NSX-T/ NSX-V Expertise in VMware VCenters 6.x, 7.x, VMware VSAN, Stretched Cluster design and deployment Migration experience from VCF 3.x to 4.x is a big plus Should be Good with Networking, Leaf/spin architecture, BGP / Static Routing protocols, etc. Knowledge on VSAN ready node, VXrail, HP synergy, VMware Tanzu, HCX, SRM and VRealize suite, etc. would be an added advantage Drive customer facing and internal project calls along with project managers and provide technical guidance Manage customer and internal escalations, collaborate with support and engineering teams as needed Collaborate with product engineering teams and BU’s in releasing of upcoming Accelerator solutions. This position reports to a senior Manager in World Wide Consulting Center team. He has held various leadership roles in the high-tech industry before joining VMware.
