Generator Auxiliaries Design Engineer

<p>Our client is currently seeking a Generator Auxiliaries Design Engineer for a long-term contract based out of Brossard, QC. Hybrid working model (two days on site).<br />

**100% remote candidates will also be considered.<br />

Purpose of the Job</p>

<ul>
<li>Perform Basic Design, calculations &amp; specification for Generator auxiliaries systems, piping&
39;s, P&amp;IDs</li>
<li>Checking of final manufacturing drawings and BoM coming from Product definition or Suppliers</li>
</ul>

<p>Responsibilities</p>

<ul>
<li>To understand the specification of the project, product, customer requirement, Generator operating parameters and operating sequences of Hydro power plant</li>
<li>Perform Basic Design and calculations for Generator auxiliary systems such as Braking, Lifting, Thrust bearing oil injection, Oil mist exhaust, Air-water Coolers, Oil-water coolers for bearings, Piping systems for auxiliary systems</li>
<li>Prepare technical specifications and drawings specifying design requirements</li>
<li>Manage and execute work-packages with Product definition team</li>
<li>Working with suppliers for defining, improving or cost out during design phase</li>
<li>Support to Supply chain during execution phase</li>
</ul>

<p>Educational Requirements: Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) or above<br />
<br />
Knowledge / Experience</p>

<ul>
<li>At least 3 years in design of Hydro Generator auxiliary systems. Total experience desired &gt; 5 years</li>
<li>Experienced in understanding engineering requirements of Hydro Generator</li>
<li>Applied knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical engineering, Piping standards, Heat exchangers</li>
<li>Experienced in calculating / specifying standard components like motors, pumps, drive systems, hydraulic circuits, exhaust systems.</li>
<li>Experienced in Design &amp; Engineering Processes</li>
<li>Good level in &lsquo;MS Office&quot; Application</li>
<li>User Level SAP System, PLM (Enovia)</li>
<li>Experienced in 3D CAD System preferably UG NX</li>
</ul>
