Valve Technician

<p>Do you have valve technician experience, and are you seeking a new job in Hull? NES Fircroft is looking for a full-time Valve Technician.<br />
<br />
As a flexible Valve Technician, you will be involved in investigation/troubleshooting, planned repair scopes, preventative and predictive maintenance and failure reporting and feedback.<br />
<br />
To give you an idea of how this Valve Technician role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do in a typical week:</p>

<ul>
<li>Provide efficient execution of all work assigned to you, within their training, skill and competency</li>
<li>Seek technical or safety-related guidance through the line whenever necessary</li>
<li>Carry out any task in addition to your core trade where you have the required competence</li>
<li>Escalate technical support, as required</li>
<li>Maintain awareness of procedures, rules and regulations that apply to your discipline&
39;s activities.</li>
</ul>

<p>To apply, you will need a minimum of City &amp; Guilds in an appropriate craft discipline, NVQ level 3 or ONC/HNC, or a recognised craft apprenticeship or equivalent, along with experience gained within a petrochemicals/research environment. You will also require the following:</p>

<ul>
<li>Proficiency in standard computer software (Microsoft Office) and demonstrated ability to learn maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP)</li>
<li>Experience overhauling and fault-finding in control valves, primarily Sevren glocon, Introl, Fisher</li>
<li>Good understanding of valve positioners including diagnostics and calibration</li>
<li>Knowledge of overhauling high-performance actuated ball valves</li>
<li>Experience reconditioning relief, hand and pressure-reducing valves</li>
<li>Machining (advantageous).</li>
