This role is based in Farnborough, Hampshire, UK at Sondex Wireline Ltd. Within the Wireline Services division of Baker Hughes Oil Field Services and Equipment. Designing and manufacturing of a diverse range of electromechanical instruments. Wireline Downhole tools that operate in deep oil &amp; gas wells under extremely harsh environments.<br />

In this role the Lead Technician will run a manufacturing team with support from the manufacturing manager. The Lead Technician is given autonomy to drive the teams to ensure SAP and customer requirements are met on time.<br />
<br />
As Lead Technician, you will be responsible for:</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>
<li>Supporting operators with technical issues</li>
<li>Developing methods/controls for operators</li>
<li>Driving forward improvements on work instructions, drawings, 5S etc.</li>
<li>Mentoring and support the team where necessary, and manage the introduction of new starters to the business</li>
<li>Reading and working to engineering drawings, assembly drawings, assembly instructions and wiring schedules, understanding &amp; interpretation of electrical circuit diagrams.</li>
<li>Interpreting drawings, bills of materials &amp; follow shop documentation.</li>
<li>Using bench tools applicable to mechanical assembly and soldering.</li>
<li>Working with Manufacturing Engineers/Planning/Technology to integrate new products into Production</li>
</ul>

To be successful in this role you will:</p>

<li>Have s ubstantial experience in a manufacturing/production environment</li>
<li>Have Engineering Apprenticeship (or a high school diploma/GED with experience in Manufacturing</li>
<li>Have experience using SAP</li>
<li>Have e xperience in a manufacturing environment in a mechanical or electrical assembly role</li>
</ul>
