Medical Lab Technician PRN, 3rd shift

Þpartment Microbiology Job Summary Under the supervision of Technical Supervisor and Shift Supervisor, performs laboratory tests under supervision to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Follows all Hospital and Laboratory policies, guidelines, procedures and protocols pertaining to job duties and meet expectations for performance standards. Required Qualifications - Require Associate’s degree in health related field. Employees hired prior to 1/1/09 or new hires with licensures awarded prior to 1/1/09, are exempt from the degree requirement. - Require qualification as an ASCP, AMT, NCA, or an equivalent medical technician. - Require current technician license required under Chapter 483, Part IV, Florida Statute 61F-5, or must be obtained within ninety (90) days of hire date. Preferred Qualifications - Prefer National Certification. - Prefer one (1) year generalist experience. - Prefer demonstrated excellent in written and verbal communication skills. - Prefer basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications and office equipment. Mandatory Education Preferred Education Required License and Certs Preferred License and Certs PRN 10 hour position for 3rd shift as needed.
