Þpartment Trauma Progressive Care Unit Job Summary This leader has accountability and oversight, and supervises the daily activities of the department, shift or area. In this role, the leader sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior, while ensuring individual and team work tasks, projects, and responsibilities are completed successfully in support of departmental and organizational goals. Required Qualifications - Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) required within three (3) years of hire date. - Require one (1) year of current satisfactory RN experience. Preferred Qualifications - Prefer two (2) years of current satisfactory RN experience. - Prefer the ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem solving expertise. - Prefer the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels. - Prefer leadership skills and understanding of group processes and teamwork. - Prefer interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle difficult situations in a diplomatic manner. - Prefer basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications. - Prefer certification in nursing specialty area.
