<p><em>Salary: £55,000 - £60,000</em></p>
<p><em>Full time, but also open to 4 days</em></p>
<p><em>Location: Based at the phenomenal youth zone in Gorton, with option for 1 day homeworking</em></p>

<p>We are working with a charity dedicated to providing three things which all young people need and deserve - somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to. Through a state-off-the-art £6.6 million building and matching facilities, young people are welcomed by a team of friendly, qualified youth workers. You'll also oversee fundraising for a brand-new development in Salford, giving even more young people access to engaging activities, employability workshops, education and training, and to dream big about the future.</p>

<p><strong>About the role:</strong></p>
<p>As Director of Fundraising and Communications, you'll work alongside the Chief Executive and key members of an active and diverse Board of Trustees. The Board is fully supportive of fundraising; their ambition means that achieving targets will inspire further investment to drive income growth.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>To give you an idea of how this Fundraising and Communications Director job would look and feel, here are some things you could expect to do:</p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>Direct the development and implementation of the charity's three-year fundraising strategy</li>
<li>Develop and implement annual plans in line with the strategy to include Key Performance Indicators</li>
<li>Manage and develop a fundraising team with any case for further investment presented to the CEO and Board</li>
<li>Represent the company at external events and conferences</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>This role is the perfect mix of strategy and hands-on fundraising working in a lively, high-energy environment where you see the impact you're making everyday.</strong></p>

<p><strong>About you:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>You're a proven major relationship fundraiser in your own right (either a specialist or generalist in philanthropy, corporate and/or trusts).</li>
<li>You're confident making significant six-figure asks and pitching to potential supporters.</li>
<li>You have a proven track-record of income growth across multiple income streams, managing previous income targets in excess of £1 million.</li>
<li>You're an empowering and enabling leader who elevates and energises their team, providing a nurturing environment for people to grow and flourish.</li>
<li>You understand the issues affecting disadvantaged young people, and care deeply about young people finding their purpose and reaching their potential.</li>
