<p>Charity People are delighted to be working with a fantastic charity who specialise in Education programmes. The charity works directly with young people, teachers, and volunteers to build a successful and sustainable future for all young people. They work to motivate young people, equipping them with the skills and confidence they need to help succeed in changing the world of work.</p>
<p>This role will run for up to six months, and can be worked fully remote, or with days in the London or Oxford offices. There will be an expectation for up to a few planned face to face meetings throughout this period.</p>
<p><strong>About the role:</strong></p>
<p>This project will implement and embed the new volunteer database which will in turn help recruit and retain volunteers. This is not a technical role, the new software is in place, and you will have support from the IT department. Your role is to implement, communicate and coordinate. This will help the charity's volunteers understand what opportunities they have and for the database to be user friendly.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>This is a typical project management job whereby you will be the 'go to' person, ask the right questions, make the project happen, implement systems and processes, engage with stakeholders, deliver on the timelines, build strong relationships and train/communicate to others across the charity.</p>
<p>You will lead on the redesign and implementation of central volunteer support systems to support the delivery of the charity's programmes. You will also work closely with the Director of Educational Partnerships and other functions of the charity to develop the volunteer journey & volunteer-related procedures to ensure the charity is maximising opportunities to support the engagement and retention of volunteers.</p>

<p><strong>About you:</strong></p>
<p>You will have considerable proven experience of designing and implementing a volunteer function, including appropriate systems and processes. The successful candidate with have highly developed technical and project management skills, together with highly developed communication skills in which to engage and support teams in the successful implementation of these systems. You will be able to demonstrate that you can successfully deliver highly complex projects on a consistent basis.</p>

<p><strong>If successful, the main duties of your role will include:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Leading on the redesign and implementation of central volunteer support systems (including Assemble Volunteer Management System) to support the delivery of the charity's programmes.</li>
<li>Work closely with the Director of Educational Partnerships and other functions of the Charity, including the Volunteering Interfunctional Working Group, to develop the volunteer journey & volunteer-related procedures to ensure the charity is maximising opportunities to support the engagement and retention of volunteers, leading to an increase in relatable role models who are supporting and inspiring the young people taking part in our programmes.</li>
<li>Provide interim reporting on volunteering trends and make appropriate recommendations.</li>
</ul>
<p>You will be a fantastic communicator and trouble-shooter, with lots of energy to drive the project forward. Experience of volunteer support would be a brilliant advantage for this role.</p>
