Increased Compensation Packages Now Available Up to $2,500 Sign-On Bonus Weekend Option Pay Eligible Position will require RDMS and R.T.(R) Saturdays & Sundays (6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) Overview Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park. The Department of Ultrasound at Barnes-Jewish West County is a highly specialized, full-service department which strives to meet all patient and clinician needs in diagnostic imaging and image-guided therapies. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose The Registered Diagnostic Sonographer performs ultrasound procedures, including but not limited to abdominal, small parts, and obstetrical, to adult and pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders, and assist with needle procedures (i.e., biopsies, drainages, needle placements, etc.). May also perform vascular procedures. Responsibilities Performs ultrasound imaging examinations. Performs studies independently in the Operating Room and or portable exams as required by the work area.�� Maintains equipment and supplies. Ensures proper documentation of procedures. Collaborates with Radiologist and medical staff for diagnosis.
