Sr. Financial Analyst

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: At General Mills, our Senior Financial Analysts provide strategic guidance, business leadership and financial expertise to our partners in cross-functional business unit teams, as well as in specialized functions such as Supply chain, Sales, and Strategic Revenue Management. We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support one of our cross-functional business unit teams. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be expected to demonstrate the following key competencies: Business Partnership: Support the business unit team to identify opportunities to optimize performance through various revenue and expense levers. Provide financial expertise and strategic partnership through modelling scenarios to evaluate various business initiatives, that include but not limited to new product launches, product line optimization, various revenue growth and margin improvement initiatives. Translate insights into action plans that deliver short and long-term business results. Operate cross-functionally and utilize your influence skills to develop and implement business strategy. Prepare and present analysis to bring forward clear and concise recommendations with a strategic mindset to deliver on overall business unit and company objectives. Financial Leadership: Provide financial leadership to enhance analytical, planning, and reporting processes. Consistently demonstrate depth of technical and financial knowledge. Lead, participate and support projects within Finance, as well as cross-functional initiatives. Ensure adequate tracking and monitoring is in place to deliver financial commitments. Prepare, analyze, and present monthly profit and loss results, compare actual results to budget and prior periods and evaluate financial status. Provide financial leadership through the monthly forecasting process and annual planning cycle.
