Responsibilities The Planner I, Crew Train Planning utilizes the most current and effective techniques in the creation, planning, and development of Spirit Airlines' route network, while considering the scheduling ramifications of all capacity planning decisions. Craft and implement an exceptional training schedule strategy in conjunction with the Crew Train Scheduling team. Is responsible for planning pilot training for flight, ground, OE and any other assigned training. Daily operation and creation of training plan. Make decisions based on demand, capacity, training need, and department discussion/feedback. Implement changes in training schedule planning without disrupting operational or schedule criteria. Manage training schedule planning adjustments while coordinating closely across multiple groups. Generate and disseminate reports to applicable internal and external parties. Build future schedules to meet all necessary criteria for training operation on a rolling basis. Works with leadership team to complete assigned workload within all department deadlines. Promote smooth interactions with other departments and foster good interdepartmental relations. Demonstrate good judgment and reasoning when investigating and solving problems. Promote a high degree of morale and spirit of motivation within the office. Demonstrate ability to tactfully handle difficult situations. Perform all duties in an independent manner with minimal direction and supervision. On-Call and After-Hour Support: Serves as on-call personnel for the Crew Train Planning department required to answer the on-call phone and respond to and resolve after-hours issues. Qualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. One to two (1-2) years of experience in a similar function preferred. Familiarity with ALPA CBA, Flit Ops manuals, policies, and procedures A strong understanding of Sabre systems Proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills. Working knowledge of MS Office. Flexibility to meet changing deadlines under pressure. Must be able to adapt to various work schedules and work on call as the operation needs.
