Job Description Overview of the Role: Responsible for the Tier 3 operational support of the commercial network with a focus on Carrier Ethernet customers and Cellular Backhaul. Provides in-depth technical advice and support including real-time analysis, design, testing, and provisioning of networks, systems, processes, technologies, etc. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex, fast-paced, and crucial environment. Preferred Skills & Experience: Knowledge of the following protocols/technologies: MPLS, BGP, L2VPN, optical transport, CMTS, DOCSIS standards, MEF standards General understanding of Enterprise Network Services (ENS), Enterprise Virtual Private Line (EVPL), Ethernet Dedicated Internet (EDI), Ethernet Private Line (EPL), Ethernet over Hybrid Fiber Coax (EoHFC), Enterprise Network Services (ENS) & Wide Area Ethernet (WAE) Ability to troubleshoot customer, network, and system issues Scripting experience a plus (Python) Strong organization and prioritization skills a must Ability to work with cross-functional partners in Test and Turn Up, Deployment, Design & Provisioning Teams, Capacity, Product Engineering, Network Engineering and all other teams related to Commercial Enterprise services Large Service Provider experience preferred. Directs third party agencies (i.e. AT&T, Verizon,) internal resources, and external resources while troubleshooting and resolving complex peer-to-peer or vendor/supplier troubles focusing on rapid restoration. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Develops, produces, and reviews documentation, instructional and procedural manuals for other employees to utilize to resolve complex problems or make network improvements Provides subject matter expertise for all network equipment and provides technical training and support to others Accountable for understanding and managing services across highly complex ecosystems cutting across multiple technologies, organizations, people, companies, and solutions. Requires detailed understanding of complex interdependencies/interdependencies’ Excellent Oral and Written Communication skills a must. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary About the Team: This Team works in the complex metro ethernet commercial services space. Daily interaction on the circuit’s configurations extending from the commercial customer physical location into and across the edge and core Comcast network footprint. This role partners with Comcast engineering, deployment, security, and commercial managed services groups to deliver solutions to the Commercial Ethernet and Cell backhaul Customers. The Team works in the Comcast CMTS/vCMTS space, Core/CRAN Network Routing space, Commercial Engineering and Configurations, and Cybersecurity The Team is small - 5 personnel, and work across various platforms – (CPE, EoHFC,CMTS/vCMTS, Edge, CRAN/CORE, Data Center) , technologies – (Data, Voice, Video, HFC, Cellular, Wifi) and equipment vendors – (Ciena, Juniper, Nokia, Cisco, ADTRAN) Pay Range: Pay scale is $67,143.84 - $148,111.41 About Our Perks & Benefits: We are determined to create an environment where our employees feel valued, understand our business goals, and are motivated. Relevant Work Experience 7-10 Years Salary: Pay Range: $86,892.03 - $130,338.04 Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
