Sr. Analyst, Digital Testing

Digital team associates focus on delivering initiatives that help our pet parents find and discover products, bring enterprise priorities to life digitally, design new user experiences, build new features and capabilities, and manage key omni-channel programs. About the Location Fully Remote Position: This position is considered to be Fully Remote and work is done from another location outside of Phoenix Home Office (within the United States). Associates that are considered to be Fully Remote do not have a work space at Phoenix Home Office and can expect to be asked to travel to Phoenix Home Office several times a year [or more], based on business needs and in partnership with leadership. Associates that are considered to be Fully Remote will acknowledge the “Remote Work Agreement” upon hire. About the Job SUMMARY The Sr. Digital Testing Analyst drives the strategy, execution and measurement of A/B tests on PetSmart.com and in the PetSmart mobile app. This role serves as a subject matter expert for A/B testing and digital analytics, execute and measure and will drive adoption of a test/learn/scale approach to digital experience design and product development. The Sr. Digital Testing Analyst is also a peer leader and evangelist for A/B testing strategy within the Digital organization. You are a good fit for this role if you possess a natural curiosity and drive to “go find out”. You are seen as a mentor and go-to person by your peers, and are in your element when explaining complex concepts in a digestible way to non-technical stakeholders and more junior team members. You have the knowledge and experience to not just follow established processes, but define new processes and challenge the status quo. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to: Establish team best practices & processes Work with third party vendors to maximize usage of our A/B testing platform Identify opportunities to integrate our A/B testing platform with other Digital experience platforms such as Analytics, Session Replay & CMS Drive innovative thought via test ideation and brainstorming Partner with business & IT product teams to define A/B testing roadmaps Define test KPIs and set test measurement methodology Work with front end developers to launch and QA tests Conduct analysis of A/B tests with a focus on analytical rigor Connect data across data sources for advanced analysis of test concepts Communicate results to key stakeholders and provide action-oriented recommendations for next steps Provide annualized impact estimates for successful tests to guide long term sales forecasting Proactively identify opportunities for future tests based on strategy and results Partner with teams across the PetSmart organization to source and plan test ideas Document team procedures and processes KEY COMPETENCIES attributed to driving service include, but are not limited to the following: Willingness to mentor junior team members Advanced data storytelling skills and ability to communicate nuanced findings to executive leadership Working knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning methods Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills High degree of internet savvy, with a curiosity and enthusiasm for digital trends Excellent problem-solving skills – able to identify, analyze and propose solutions to various technical and business issues Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, “self-starter” environment serving as a catalyst for change and managing multiple work streams simultaneously Exhibit professional initiative and entrepreneurial drive EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field preferred, or equivalent work experience 4+ years of experience utilizing digital analytics to optimize sales and customer experience (Google Analytics preferred) 4+ years of experience in a high volume retail environment TECHNICAL SKILLS Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Familiarity with enterprise data warehouses and digital data sources (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) Familiarity with digital A/B testing platforms such as Adobe Target, Optimizely, Monetate etc. Familiarity with data visualization software such as Tableau, Power BI, Datastudio etc. Knowledge of SQL preferred, but not required Knowledge Javascript & CSS a plus About the Culture At PetSmart, we work hard to create a culture where every associate feels like they truly belong and we celebrate the unique stories, backgrounds, and experiences our associates share.
