The opportunity: We are seeking talented and energetic candidates to join our Advisory, Management Consulting team as a Full Time Consultant/Senior Consultant working in our Edmonton practice starting in Summer (May) 2023 and Fall (September) 2023. Positions are available for our Operations – Public Sector Practice. What you will do Operations The Operations team at KPMG supports clients in the Public Sector with a range of services: strategic planning, growth & omni-channel strategy, Target Operating Model (TOM) design, process improvement/redesign, and cost optimization/value realization. As part of the Operations team, you will help clients perform current state assessments/diagnostics, visioning/target state design as well as develop roadmaps and support implementation. What you bring to the role FOR CONSULTANT LEVEL: You are enrolled in a university degree program (we will be considering candidates from a spectrum of programs such as Political Science, Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Commerce, Economics, Arts, etc.). Candidates graduating between December 2022 and August 2023 should apply. You are a highly motivated individual, enthusiastic about taking on a variety of challenges and opportunities You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal You have a strong academic record You have the ability to work independently without supervision You have strong problem solving and analytical abilities, as well as a proven track record of successfully dealing with competing priorities and deadlines under pressure You have a strong sense of personal accountability You have an entrepreneurial drive, and are a creative problem solver FOR SENIOR CONSULTANT LEVEL: Senior Consultants usually join Management Consulting with significant work experience, coming from an MBA, PhD, MD, JD or other advanced degree program. Senior Consultant are expected to be able to come into the Management Consulting team and immediately make a significant impact. Those coming from undergraduate degrees or master’s degrees with less than 2 years’ work experience should consider applying for the Consultant position. You have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in a relevant field. Candidates graduating between December 2022 and August 2023 should apply. You are a highly motivated individual, enthusiastic about taking on a variety of challenges and opportunities You have strong interpersonal skills and professional maturity; demonstrated ability to effectively interact and build relationships with a diverse group of clients and colleagues You have strong problem solving and analytical abilities, as well as a proven track record of successfully dealing with competing priorities and deadlines under pressure You have an entrepreneurial drive, and are a creative problem solver You have a strong academic record from your undergraduate or master’s degree You are able to support general project management and oversee the planning, scheduling and completion of objectives and engagements, asset development and other initiatives.
