<b>Logistics Specialist</b><br> <br> <b> Job Summary: </b><br> <ul> <li> Manage international movement of assets, products, and materials upon request of the P&SC Team, Internal Purchasing, material Specialist.</li> <li> Plan and allocate third-party resources that execute the shipment, and coordinate with the Geounit Import Export Specialist for movements to/from the country port exit/entry.</li> <li> Optimize equipment utilization, select the most cost-effective routings, comply with selection of preferred contracted carriers, and secure delivery per the established service level.</li> </ul> <br> <b> Relationships: </b><br> <br> Reports to Logistics Leader and maintains a close working relationship with the following:<br> <ul> <li> Product Line P&SC Team (GeoMarket, Center)</li> <li> Product Line Supplier Manager</li> <li> Material Specialist</li> <li> Domestic Logistics Specialist</li> <li> International Freight Forwarders</li> <li> Import/Export Specialist/Manager</li> <li> Shared Base Support Team</li> </ul> <br> <b> Activities: </b><br> <ul> <li> Plan shipments that meet required delivery dates (RDD) from operations and identify consolidation opportunities.</li> <li> Responsible for managing product line expectation at the early stage of shipment RDD vs Possible Delivery Date.</li> <li> Ensure the maximum usage of Schlumberger contract rates when arranging shipments.</li> <li> Responsible for proper export shipping invoice creation</li> <li> Manage operational logistics transactions with the logistics suppliers.</li> <li> Responsible and accountable for timely sending of pre-alert to receiving location and accurate EDD vs RDD</li> <li> Be the GeoUnit/Support Center (customer) focal point for international logistics movements.</li> <li> Ensure full compliance of transports with the international transport regulations.</li> <li> Monitor cargo moves status and performances, and investigate deviations.</li> <li> Perform real-time tracking and monitoring of shipments and communicate any deviations with stakeholders.</li> <li> Implement proactive and corrective measures combined with appropriate communication when early warning signs of deviation are detected.</li> <li> Manage international logistics movements ensuring compliance with Schlumberger policies. Assesses carrier performance with respect to on-time delivery and on-time pick-up.</li> <li> Ensure full compliance of transports with the international transport regulations.</li> <li> Ensure proper storage of electronic documents in the system.</li> <li> Act as the interface between the Import/Export Teams and assure smooth communication flow between parties.</li> <li> Participate in the performance analysis meeting.</li> <li> Monitor and capture logistics milestone data in the business system.</li> <li> Raise RIRs for service quality incidents and red money in QUEST and escalates to Manager or Team Leader.
