Senior Instrumentation Designer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is looking for ED V / Senior Instrumentation Designer t o work on the engineering and project management services in Al Khobar office, on our Offshore Maintain Potential Program (OMPP): <br><br>&bull; Develops working drawings, within company and industry standards and codes, from equipment specifications and detailed drawings to support completion of engineering deliverables. <br><br> &bull; Creates drawings involving plans, layouts, calculations and bills of material <br><br> &bull; Works on assignments involving a variety of design procedures and techniques <br><br> &bull; Records observations, performs calculations and prepares reports on assignments <br><br> &bull; Performs layouts, design and checking work from the basic data supplied <br><br> &bull; Designs and makes detail drawings from rough sketches involving intricate calculations and the application of fundamental engineering principles <br><br> &bull; Establishes project drafting standards and monitors their conformance <br><br> &bull; Identifies cost effective solutions to design problems <br><br> &bull; Assists in the preparation of bid evaluations <br><br> &bull; Designs and constructs models, prototypes, processes or equipment; compiles and evaluates data, makes recommendations, prepares reports <br><br> &bull; Prepares estimates of time, quantities, materials and labour required for activities related to testing, installation, manufacture, design or construction. <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br>&bull; An Associate Degree, Higher Diploma or Diploma in a relevant discipline is required <br><br> &bull; A full understanding of the materials and methods normally used in their discipline <br><br> &bull; An understanding of related engineering principles and practices, plus training and diversified experience in the field of activity is required. <br><br> &bull; Capable of interpreting key documents including; engineering standards, piping material specifications, P&IDs and Line Lists <br><br> &bull; Technically oriented, mechanically inclined, good at mathematics and talented at translating intangible concepts into hands-on project plans <br><br> &bull; Competent user of CAD/D software. <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
