Focused on 3 core values – Simplicity, Proximity and Expertise – we have become experts in factory automation sensors as well as specialists in demanding applications, making our customers’ lives “simply easy!” Outside sales role responsible for driving Sensors sales growth in the UK & Ireland through a network of authorised Distributors Responsible for achieving annual sales targets by selling Telemecanique products and services to OEM’s, End-Users, System Integrators via a varied selection of Chanel Partners Increase market share with our Distributor Channel Partners through regular engagement, product trainings, joint sales calls, promotional events and solving their customers problems Define Distribution commercial policy in collaboration with the offer Manager and the Cluster leader Build and deploy the sales and marketing action plan to develop and grow Sensor Business through Distribution channel. To include e-Commerce plan with each strategic channel partner Main responsibilities Develop strategic relationships and execute account plans to maximize sales turnover and achieve required growth targets in assigned distributor accounts Onboard new Distributor Channel Partners (Distributors) and maintain existing customer relations by deploying TE Sensors playbook Increase market share with our Distributors through regular engagement, product trainings, joint sales calls, promotional events and solving their customers problems Build and deploy the sales and marketing action plan to develop and grow Sensor business through Distribution channel Define and deploy toward Sensor specialist distributors an e-commerce plan working in collaboration with the ecommerce team Define Distribution commercial policy in collaboration with the Offer Manager and the Cluster leader, deploy price increases and distributor contracts Communicate technical or industry-specific information in an easy-to-understand format and to apply knowledge of Telemecanique Sensors products/solutions/services to meet Distributor customer's needs Drive fast introduction and launch of new products, and train distributors on new and existing product portfolio Participate in joint customer visits, and trade/product roadshows to help drive new business conversion Direct and ensure follow up of all incoming distribution enquiries, leads and RFQ’s Partner with Sensors OEM sales team to develop new distributors to further expand our business Ability to set their own schedule to manage and make appointments with customers A team player capable of working within a sales team to hit wider company targets and goals Analysis and presentation of sales data and forecasts to management Job description Update customer records in CRM and update sales activity daily Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, discoveries, and developments and competitor activity This is an outside sales role responsible for driving Sensors sales growth through authorised Distributor Channel Partners within the UK&I. The role is suited to someone who will be recognised by Distributors as their trusted Sensors “specialist” for Inductive, Photoelectric, Capacitive, Limit Switch, Pressure, Ultrasonic, RFID and Machine Safety sensor technologies. You will leverage BFO/CRM to proactively manage the sales funnel from prospect through to purchase, manage opportunities and report daily sales activities. Gathering market insights and competitor information with feedback to the sensors business is required. A self-starter willing to learn about new applications and new sensor technologies to enable effective promotion of new products. This position reports to the Sensors Cluster Leader. Field based with occasional travel for internal meetings, product training and industry trade shows is required. Opportunity to travel internationally for training and factory engagement. Job requirements Experience: Minimum 4 yrs. experience in channel sales management. Experience of selling technical products/solutions through specialist industrial distributors is preferred. Proven track record of growing business through indirect channels Education level: University Degree in Engineering or Business; HND in Engineering Language: Fluent in written and spoken English; additional language skills a bonus. Soft Skills: Self Starter — You are ambitious and take initiative and thrive in environments with minimal supervision. Road Warrior mentality capable of managing a sizeable territory and eager to travel greater than 50% of the time via car and commercial air. Technical skills : Experience of various sensor technologies; industrial automation experience (drives, PLC’s, etc.) IT Skills: Laptop proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) for account contact information, recording activity and opportunity funnel management Why us?
