Overview of Role We require an additional Management Member to oversee the daily operational requirements of the business, including specific projects, contracts and activities that require a full Security Clearance background check. We owe our success to the efficiency of organizational processes. To help improve and grow this standard, we’re seeking an experienced Manager to oversee daily activities. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and proven success in managing multiple departments for maximum productivity. This person will be highly skilled and be able to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within the operational team. Reporting to the General Manager, your duties will include industry compliance, program management, project management and you will be responsible for the management of special projects, from project planning to delivery, development sprint timelines, legislative compliance, internal meetings & deadline agreements, customer facing meetings, etc. There will be ongoing requirements for the implementation of training schedules, compliance assurance and quality assurance where applicable. SPM will be responsible for managing a variety of different internal projects. These projects may be related to the company’s core business, or they may be one-off initiatives that help the company explore new opportunities or expand into new markets. SPM will work closely with GM and other managers and executives in the organization. They may also work with outside vendors or contractors who provide specialized services or equipment that is needed to complete the project. Responsibilities Responsibilities Developing new business opportunities for the organization by identifying potential clients, markets, and new technologies or processes Coordinating with other departments to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget requirements Monitoring project budgets and schedules to ensure that they are being met Ensuring that each project is staffed with qualified personnel who have the experience needed to complete their tasks successfully Overseeing new product development projects from conception through launch to ensure that they meet company standards for quality and functionality Evaluating the financial feasibility of proposals to determine whether they are likely to generate a profit Managing staff members who may be working on multiple projects simultaneously Overseeing the implementation of new projects to ensure that they are carried out properly Developing budgets and schedules for projects, as well as monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary You will help to maintain regular communication with managers, staff, and stake holders to ensure proper operations of the company Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance the company’s internal capacity Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget Further Responsibilities Lead, motivate, and support the core team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including development plans for direct reports and problem resolution Manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service Partner with cross-functional teams to improve proprietary tools and systems Work closely with legal and safety departments to ensure that activities remain compliant. Qualifications Required skills and qualifications Two or more years of proven success in an operations management role Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes Knowledge of business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications Preferred skills and qualifications High level Aviation Security industry experience Working knowledge of Industry compliance and legislations Strong IT skills, including database development OSI Systems, Inc. has three operating divisions: (a) Security, providing security and inspection systems, turnkey security screening solutions and related services; (b) Healthcare, providing patient monitoring, diagnostic cardiology and anesthesia systems; and (c) Optoelectronics and Manufacturing, providing specialized electronic components and electronic manufacturing services for original equipment manufacturers with applications in the defense, aerospace, medical and industrial markets, among others.
