Offshore Chemists

NES Fircroft are currently supporting one of our UK oilfield clients with a number of Offshore Chemist roles.<br><br>Our client is going through a peak activity Q1/Q2 next year, and they need to bring on a couple of consultants to support on a 6 month ad hoc basis.<br><br>Contracts will be on a PAYE basis and please note, mobilisations may be short notice and would be to cover either day or night shift. It will also be highly advantageous to have experience of Chemical field trials & Scale squeeze operations.<br><br>Main responsibilities:<br><br> • Chemical injection surveillance, including monitoring of chemical injection pumps, maintaining chemical pump function, inventory reporting and ordering<br> • Adjust chemical dosage rates and/or change chemical applications in order to meet operator defined objectives<br> • Chemical stock management and control<br> • Sample collection and analysis including commercial and regulatory compliance samples<br> • Reporting of analysis results<br> • Provide process optimisation support as required<br> • Troubleshoot process upsets and provide guidance to offshore operations teams<br> • Hazard identification and COSHH - support of site COSHH through specialist chemical knowledge<br> • Produce daily status reports for the operator<br><br /><br />With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil &amp; Gas, Power &amp; Renewables, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining, Automotive and Chemicals sectors worldwide.With more than 100 offices in 45 countries, we are able to provide our clients with the engineering and technical expertise they need, wherever and whenever it is needed.
