Graduate C&I Engineer

<p><b>Overview / Responsibilities </b><br />
<br />
Wood Process &amp; Energy are seeking for a Control &amp; Instrumentation Engineer to support a variety of Oil &amp; Gas, Petrochemical, Hydrogen &amp; Renewable projects on a permanent staff basis due to our continued growth based in Glasgow office.<br />
<br />
The opportunity will support various potential clients and project scopes long term.<br />
<br />
<b>Responsibilities will include:</b></p>

<ul>
<li>Assisting customer personnel to ensure that their plant and assets are operated, maintained and modified in such a manner that integrity is not compromised, this may include development / revision of documented interlock test procedures, verification / MoC as necessary to ensure that assets comply with legal statute and customer policy.</li>
<li>Sharing of extensive knowledge of asset integrity practices and legislation. provide functional leadership across departmental boundaries.</li>
<li>Interfacing and managing any associated vendor organisations and / or personnel, s upporting other customer Engineers and Maintenance Teams working within the same project group.</li>
<li>Offering expert advice of Control and Instrumentation across a diverse range of industries with expertise in asset integrity practices, ATEX and engineering modification / control.</li>
</ul>

<p><b>On occasion, the individual may:</b></p>

<ul>
<li>Be instructed to deliver technical support to departments / disciplines as required within other areas of the customer organisation, take the technical lead on a specific project or projects as identified by the customer Engineering Manager.</li>
<li>Instructed to aid the customer Engineering Manager in coaching other individuals as may be required, etc. to enhance the engineering maintenance / compliance process.</li>
</ul>

<p><b>Skills / Qualifications</b></p>

<ul>
<li>Degree in Instrument and Control Engineering or HNC / HND with suitable experience</li>
<li>Membership of an appropriate professional Body / Institute</li>
<li>Demonstrate an in-depth working knowledge of Instrumentation and Control engineering</li>
<li>Understanding and experience of relevant codes and standards including BS 7671, IEC 61511, ATEX, DSEAR, CDM 2015, etc. and how to apply them</li>
<li>Knowledge and understanding of control systems design and functionality, such as DCS, PLC&
39;s, SCADA, etc.</li>
<li>Experience within the oil and gas, petrochemical or power generation sectors</li>
<li>Have experience of working with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)</li>
<li>Demonstrate a sound understanding of industry best practices and work to established standards and current legislation</li>
<li>Experience of equipment specification and calculations, such as, Intrinsically Safe calculations, thermowell sizing, etc.</li>
<li>Previous site survey experience</li>
