Site Name: GSK House Posted Date: Dec 14 2022 12 -month contract – Brentford The role: Workplace Design and Change are seeking a Design and Change Manager to cover maternity leave for a period of up to 12 months. Initial efforts will be focussed on the GSK HQ relocation programme. The change is more than just an office relocation and will involve engaging employees to adopt a hybrid working model that maximises employee collaboration, promotes GSK culture, and ultimately provides an improvement in overall employee experience. In this role you will act as the Change Lead for all Change Management activity in support of the delivery team and to provide oversight of the external Change Management Provider. We’re moving towards a more sustainable future with our new headquarters. With better public transport links and proximity to world-class science and technology institutions, we’re excited for our move to the vicinity of Earnshaw Street, London WC1A (“the New HQ”).by end H1 2024. Your responsibilities will include: • Being a trusted member of the team for initial Design & Change Management (D&CM) activity, leading engagement with key internal stakeholders (primarily leaders and managers) to assess the change and determine the impacts. • In consultation with WREF (Worldwide Real Estate & Facilities) colleagues, design a strategy to support GSK through the design & change, which may involve sourcing, briefing and managing relevant project consultants. • Capture Voice of the Customer (VOC) across all project programmes through appropriate methods, such as pre and post occupancy surveys, focus groups, etc. and share as appropriate with the real estate team. • Seek opportunities to provide insights and suggestions to WREF that help optimise the GSK real estate portfolio, workplaces, stakeholder experiences and business outcomes. • Provide guidance and oversight to the project Change Management consultants (to be appointed) to ensure business alignment and successful execution of the change programme. • Ensure alignment across Change Management, Communications and HR delivery teams so the change is a seamless journey for impacted employees. • Work in coordination and in alignment with other Service Providers that may be in place to deliver ways of working pilots, surveys and workplace science initiatives. • Support Change Management consultants in managing and co-ordinating all change information and act as a point of escalation for change activities as required. • Actively identify project risks for coordination with the Master Risk Schedule, provided by the Project Manager. • Ensure change learnings are effectively captured for each completed phase of the change programme. • Thorough briefing of the D&CM all relevant project/site context and history, GSK internal policies and procedures. • Proactive and clear communication of the D&CM role and responsibilities to key Business and WREF stakeholders (or elsewhere as relevant) and ongoing reinforcement of such as may be required. • Regular coordination and communication with the project Senior Leadership • Timely advice regarding SMART Working, or any other events/decisions likely to affect the timing of high levels of D&CM commitment (over 16 hours a week) and/or travel.
