Job Summary Responsible for analyzing customer accounts and past due notices. Follows-up with billing and payment. Updates departmental reports and maintains familiarity with current policy/procedures and slow moving accounts in collections. Writes job aides to support any new policies and procedures department rolls out. May be responsible for collections both over the phone in a call center environment or in a more traditional credit and collects role. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge. Job Description Core Responsibilities Accurately inputs customer billing information into required systems from customer contracts, internal maintenance processes, and customer requests. New customers/accounts/ products (recurring / non-recurring) Upgrades Disconnects Price changes Usage verification Credits and adjustments Respond to escalated customer and management inquiries Work in a positive and collaborative manner with the customer, account management, sales, and to ensure required outcomes are met Assist in overall responsibility for billing operations Assist and participate on billing systems implementations and testing Maintain accurate documentation of daily activity for audits and reporting Participation in billing audits and revenue assurance projects Interact directly with external audit firm in response to billing questions Generates specialized custom invoicing/reporting Monthly department reports for financial reporting Investigates and analyzes credit actions to assist with resolving outstanding items in a timely fashion. Facilitates projects, works with senior Analysts. Assists with outlining necessary actions and strategies for debt repayment. Reviews and maintains account information of customers' financial status and collection efforts; generates reports of the same. Researches and analyzes payment history/trends of all accounts. Issues daily report on the status of delinquent accounts and tracks collection efforts. Prepares monthly reports showing delinquency trends and analyzing collection results. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
