<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently seeking a <b>Supply Chain Specialist </b>in order to grow its Perth Mining & Minerals group to meet the large demand in critical metals projects. <br><br>Wood is at the forefront of engineering solutions for a net zero future. A key component of decarbonising the world is the Mining and Minerals Industry which supplies the critical minerals required for this revolution. Wood is currently delivering critical metals projects (Battery and Magnet metals) all over the world, including Copper, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals projects. <br><br>We can offer you a career in the ever-expanding battery and magnet metals industry driving the decarbonisation of the globe. Working in our newly fitted offices in the Perth CBD, we have an onsite gym with five-star end of trip facilities. <br><br>With a number of projects due to kick off in early 2023, the objective of this role is to oversee the execution of specific aspects of supply chain management including expediting, procurement, subcontracts, negotiation and reporting of medium risk procurement packages/subcontracts. Understanding of the client's head contract requirements including Wood responsibilities and knowledge of how these are integrated into project supply chain strategies, plans, procedures and terms and conditions is also critical in this position. <br><br>Key accountabilities and responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to, the following: <br><ul><li> Accountable for the successful delivery of all supply chain activities that they are responsible for<br> </li><li> Responsible for the end to end sourcing process (Strategy through Close Out) for the medium risk procurement/subcontract packages assigned to them<br> </li><li> Ensures all supply chain activities are carried out in accordance with the project execution plan/schedule and/or contracting strategy, within approved budgets and in line with project processes and procedures<br> </li><li> Update the project / procurement status report (PSR) in line with project / client required on site dates and current / estimate lead times, notifying any delays to the supply chain lead<br> </li><li> Attend regular PSR meetings with client, engineering and/or project management personnel to ensure dates for pre-order deliverables within their portfolio are being maintained<br> </li><li> Provides guidance, direction and support to all relevant stakeholders on both Woods and the suppliers specific contractual obligations and responsibilities<br> </li><li> Utilisation of Wood Approved Supplier Register (ASR) supplemented when required by project/client approved supplier registers for supplier evaluation, audit, and selection<br> </li><li> Carry out Supplier performance reviews and ongoing management ensuring corrective actions are taken where required<br> </li><li> Ensure that all statutory and legal requirements and procedures are complied with and all actions are fully auditable<br> </li><li> Promote safe working practices and demonstrate safety awareness at all times<br> </li><li> Understands and lives Woods vision, values and behaviours<br> </li><li> Understands and works to the Wood Financial Management Framework </li><li> Capture all internal and external in year savings targets as per business plan<br> </li><li> Assist in the implementation of global/regional/country initiatives as per business plans </li><li> Inputting data and managing tasks through Wood's Supply Chain System - Convero </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br>What will set you apart from other applicants will be a minimum 5 years of supply chain experience, demonstrating outstanding results. You will have worked for a major engineering company, with expsoure to the mining, oil & gas, or related resources industries having worked on large projects. You will also have: <br><ul><li> Bachelor Degree or Equivalent in business related discipline, ideally supply chain or procurement, and working towards or CIPS qualifications </li><li> Broad knowledge of Suppliers, Commercial Evaluations, Negotiations and Terms and Conditions of Purchase/Contract </li><li> Understanding of Subcontract Agreements and Framework Agreements </li><li> Experience in Industry forms of Subcontracts </li><li> Experience using different ERP systems </li><li> Understanding of Client contract requirements </li><li> Knowledge in Supply Chain Principles and techniques </li><li> Commercial Evaluations, negotiations and terms and condition qualification </li><li> Supplier Relationship Management experience </li><li> Excellent communication skills, written, oral and presentation </li><li> Ability to maintain a strong network both within and outside of supply chain department </li><li> Excellent planning and organisational skills </li></ul><br><br>Please note, only applicants holding valid working rights in Australia will be considered. <br><br>So much of our success depends on feeling part of a team with people around us that we can rely on.
