The role Reporting to the Iberia Accounting Manager, the IFRS & Global policy Owner is responsible for compliance of accounting rules according to Schneider Electric Group, aligned with the local ones and ensuring compliance with Accounting Key Internal Controls Additionally, will be responsible of reporting and day-to-day financial management of one of the legal entities from statutory compliance standpoint. This role demands an awareness of financial issues and the ability to respond and adapt to a rapidly changing commercial environment. Key Responsibilities Working within the Accounting team and in close collaboration with the Accounting Competency Center (Poland and India), Corporate team and with Business Finance teams, will be responsible: To certify the correct application of IFRS & Group Reporting standards and proper management of risks and opportunities Close interaction with Accounting Corporate team to align global processes Analysis of potential local impacts of global processes coming specific transactions that require high degree of IFRS and accounting expertise in order to apply the correct accounting treatment Identification of critical processes in order to improve and alignment them with Global ones Cascade information to the rest of the organization Responsible of ensuring compliance with Accounting Key Internal Controls (aligned with Local Internal Controller). Coordinate monthly closing process & issues timely with accurate & complete reporting on monthly basis Ensure high quality on Balance Sheet account's reconciliation Manage Accounting Competency Centers & Genpact relationship to ensure the good performance of tasks Manage relationship with external auditors & work with Internal Audit to ensure high quality & compliance of annual financial statements Balance Sheet Review, on a quarterly and Hard Closing basis, to get qualitative analysis related to the profitability of the legal entity and to anticipate potential risks The Experience 5+ years working experience as senior accountant with background in statutory accounts management International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) knowledge Preferrable experience on a matrix structure within a multinational organization. SAP and Hyperion systems is desirable. Experience in Oracle will be a plus. Personal skills: Education Degree in economic and business. MBA a definitive plus Language: Fluent in English, both written and spoken Candidate will have good analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to demonstrate initiative in developing ideas and implementing improvements on working practices Ownership and decision maker Strong communication and influencing skills should be demonstrated.
