Lead Software Developer (.Net, Microservices)

S&P Global Corporate The Role: Lead Software Developer (.Net) The Team: The successful candidate will work in a team whose responsibilities include identifying, evaluating, and piloting new technologies, as well as driving technologies that increase end-user productivity across S&P globally.  Areas of focus include, but are not limited to, Developing applications, systems integrations, automation, and machine learning. The candidate will be instrumental in providing innovative technical solutions to modernize the end-user experience across the entire enterprise.   Demonstrable experience working with AWS (Amazon Web Services) or Azure  Experience in additional technologies would be beneficial to show a breadth of capabilities   Strong knowledge in RDBMS development (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server)  Experience working with and designing RESTful APIs (application programming interfaces) – creating resilient applications dependent upon external APIs  Experience evaluating vendor solutions and new technologies Experience writing and evaluating technical and functional requirements  Experience with the MSFT Graph API and/or Bot Framework would be a strong plus but is not required  What We’re Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience  8+ years experience in n-tiered application development  Excellent knowledge of application design/architecture (e.g., design patterns, dependency injection, DevOps principals, elasticity, asynchronous programming, etc.)  Strong OOP foundation  Experience working within AWS or Azure  Demonstrable experience piloting and driving new technologies  Demonstrable experience working with continuous integration principles and technologies   Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team   Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies (Agile preferred)  Exposure to machine learning and AI (Artificial Intelligence) services (DialogFlow, AWS, IBM, Azure, etc.) would be a plus Return to Work: Have you taken time out for caring responsibilities and are now looking to return to work?
