<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood are recruiting for a <b>JMS Planner/ Fabrication draftsman</b> to join their Teesside operation on a contract basis. <br><br><b>Duties & Responsibilities</b> <br><ul><li> Ensure the timing of pre-turnaround work is identified </li><li> Produce workpacks to the required level of detail ensuring the optimum use of labour and the safest possible working method </li><li> Produce like for like isometric sketches, develop fabrication packages for onsite and/or offsite scopes </li><li> Co-ordinate and oversee onsite and/or offsite fabrication including deliveries to site </li><li> Produce the planning stage risk assessment </li><li> Generate all sub contract requests in sufficient detail to allow subcontractors to plan their own work and carry out a cost estimate </li><li> Identify all work that can be executed pre turnaround </li><li> Identify all materials required to carry out the works </li><li> Identify any non standard tools required to carry out the works </li><li> Identify any unusual activities that are high risk and will require a JSA. (Job Safety Analysis) </li><li> Identify any external logic (inter job logic) for the work being carried out in the area </li><li> Participate in communication mechanisms within there own area preparations and execution organisations to ensure satisfactory team working and effectiveness. Understand status of Turnaround preparations to be able to support and suggest recovery options in case of a shortfall in any area </li><li> Work with the area engineers to ensure that all inter work logic is understood </li><li> Plan late and emergent work and highlight any cost or duration impacts as soon as possible to the turnaround manager </li><li> Ensure that the workpacks are built up in the agreed format and can be archived post turnaround </li><li> Work with the area engineer to divide the work in the area to a manageable amount or work type into each supervisor </li><li> Assist the scheduler with updating the schedule as required </li><li> Ensure that all turnaround documentation and asset information is updated and archived appropriately for future use. Red pen update work that is likely to carried out in future turnarounds with any learning or amendments for future learning </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Extensive experience in turnaround events </li><li> Proven knowledge of HSSE legislation relating to turnaround events </li><li> Understanding of the use of norms & productivity measures </li><li> Good IT knowledge, including Excel and Word </li><li> Knowledge of turnaround methodology </li><li> Onshore and offshore, oil and gas industry experience </li><li> Experience of interpreting client piping systems </li><li> Ability to read process flow diagrams </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
