Energy Resourcing are recruiting for a Process Engineer, for a short term assignment in the Middle East, mobilising ASAP. Working with one of our clients who specialize in Produced Water Treatment, Injection and Production Chemistry issues within the oil &amp; gas sector.</p>

The work is to carry out an engineering audit on produced water treatment equipment.</p>

<p>
<b>Responsibilities</b></p>
<p>
</p>
<p>
</p><ul><li>Design of process control systems, with emphasis on water treatment and injection</li><li>Specialist support during installation and commissioning work on-site, both onshore and offshore</li><li>Plant operation audits and troubleshooting at both onshore and offshore sites</li><li>Provide support to microbiology consultants during site audits and other studies - this may involve simple fluid quality monitoring</li><li>Comply with client working procedures; including working hours, work permit system and other health, safety and environmental (HSE) requirements</li><li>Undertake training courses for operators</li><li>Interpreting a variety of data and analysing results</li><li>Developing databases to track and organise information</li><li>Providing data and feedback to clients</li><li>Run consultancy contracts, and be responsible for budget control, time and resources (CTR) and invoicing</li><li>Using written sources of information, such as journals and the internet, as part of the research process</li><li>Writing technical reports and papers for journals</li><li>Giving presentations at conferences and other events</li><li>Keeping up to date with developments and new research</li><li>Assist the sales department in the generation of technical proposals and budgets when requested</li><li>Look for opportunities to expand work-scope for any given project, and to identify new projects</li><li>Where appropriate, work towards becoming a member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers and a Chartered Engineer</li></ul>

<b>Skills &amp; Qualifications</b></p>
<p>
</p>
<p>
</p><ul><li>A BSc or PhD in chemical or process engineering</li><li>Experience in screening, feasibility, concept select and FEED studies</li><li>Review data, drawings, specifications etc. from client and validate them</li><li>Review and respond to Technical Queries as required</li><li>Ability to produce documentation including: equipment specifications, data sheets, case studies, process diagrams including PFD's and PID's, heat and material balance, basis of design, control philosophy and operating manuals for a selected system</li><li>Site experience including plant/equipment audit, installation and commissioning work on-site, both onshore and offshore</li><li>Methodical approach for analysing process issues and collating data</li><li>Knowledge of tender bid process, estimating man hours and costs for sales team</li><li>Leading or assisting multi-disciplined teams and liaising with client and vendors</li><li>Project management and budget control</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team</li><li>A pro-active attitude and a willingness to carry out roles not normally part of the day to day work activities for other teams</li><li>Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and project management tools</li><li>Basic knowledge in AutoCAD is essential to enable simple diagrams to be generated or undertake minor modifications to drawings</li><li>Good presentation skills for delivery of project results to clients and at industry forums and conferences</li><li>Exposure to international codes and standards</li><li>Must be prepared to travel within the working day and overnight absence from home at short notice</li></ul>
