Pre-Commissioning

<p><b>Overview / Responsibilities </b><br />
<br />
Wood is currently recruiting for <b> Pre-Commissioning </b> with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. Candidate has to work 6/1; we are only considering applications from local Iraqi nationals preferably residing in Iraq, Basra.<br />
<br />
Overall</p>

<ul>
<li>Coordinate overall Pre-commissioning activities required to bring the project from Mechanical Completion (MC) to Ready for Commissioning (RFC).</li>
<li>Direct interface with Construction Site Lead (CSL).</li>
<li>Interface and communicate with Construction team to obtain best practice and performance from the Construction and Commissioning team.</li>
<li>Implement effective lessons learned procedures to eliminate repeated errors and to assure continuous improvement.</li>
<li>Prioritise work fronts to align with OR/CSU system delivery priority.</li>
</ul>

<p>People</p>

<ul>
<li>Review &amp; input to vendor requirement to ensure adequate support available to support the project delivery</li>
<li>Input to and assist with coordination of vendor call-out requirements</li>
<li>Provide assistance in evaluation and selection of Pre-commissioning Team members. Declare and assign roles and responsibilities for Pre-commissioning team members.</li>
<li>First line HR responsibility for Pre-comm staff.</li>
<li>Ensure all resources are being utilised in a safe and effective manner.</li>
</ul>

<p>Project Delivery</p>

<ul>
<li>Ensure that the Pre-Commissioning schedule is developed in accordance with best practices.</li>
<li>Assist in developing manpower estimates / plans / mobilisation vs system Pre-commissioning schedules.</li>
<li>Lessons learned are efficiently captured and transferred.</li>
<li>Procedures associated with Pre-Commissioning activities are rolled out and adopted by the Pre-Commissioning Team.</li>
<li>Support system handover and acceptance from Construction Team including system discipline walk downs and punch list generation.</li>
<li>Ensure that system owners are assigned and that punching, hold and witness points are consistently applied.</li>
<li>Ensure delivery as per the Pre-Commissioning schedule in order to protect the overall project schedule.</li>
<li>Ensure that the quality system, quality policy and global best practices and procedures are fully and effectively communicated and implemented.</li>
<li>Ensure that Pre-Commissioning progress is in line with the project requirements by identifying any potential schedule delays and recommending mitigation actions.</li>
<li>Report to the CSU Management on issues which may delay schedule and progress</li>
<li>Assists on preparation of monthly and weekly commissioning progress reports.</li>
<li>Develop KPI&
39;s related to Pre-Commissioning activities.</li>
<li>Continuous review progress against plan and identify areas of concern.</li>
<li>Assist with development and implementation of system handover plan.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned or requested.</li>
</ul>

<p>HSSE</p>

<ul>
<li>Together with the project HSE Coordinator, ensures compliance with all HSE procedures and strategies.</li>
<li>Promote active engagement and communication with Vendor and support Pre-commissioning personnel.</li>
<li>Take active role in Flying Falcons HSSE initiative</li>
<li>Ensure all work in sphere of influence is undertaken using agreed PTW system and LOTO.</li>
</ul>

<p><b>Skills / Qualifications</b></p>

<ul>
<li>Technical Certifications, 20+ years&
39; experience in a gas and oil industry, minimum 5 years in senior position.</li>
<li>CSU experience on a variety of small and large projects, Brownfield and Greenfield is essential</li>
<li>Good technical communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to interact with members of projects, contractor and BGC asset teams.</li>
<li>Capable of giving direction and guidance on OR/CSU planning &amp; reporting.</li>
<li>Experience working in an H2S environment would also be very desirable</li>
<li>Good understanding of instrumentation, mechanical, electrical, and operations</li>
<li>Good understanding of construction, commissioning, and startup</li>
<li>Knowledge of plant safeguarding systems in order to evaluate and rank risks</li>
</ul>
