Þputy Director - Database Specialist

Responsibilities In this role you will perform activities required to support the operational availability, restoration of service and platform for database software. They will also be required to follow documented processes and administration activities as it relates to application, infrastructure and security. In addition, the candidate will execute database designs, participate in third party product evaluations, audits, etc. all within compliance of PepsiCo architecture guidelines, and Business or Vendor requirements. Qualifications 7+ years experience in a IT related position. 4 recent years experience working as a Microsoft SQL Server database administrator Experience supporting a large (500+ instance) database environment Experience with encrypted RDBMS environments using different methodologies Experience with Microsoft SQL Server high availability and disaster recovery knowledge Analytical skills and aptitude, as it relates to root cause analysis, key performance indicators Demonstrated experience translating business and application requirements Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Excel and advanced features Oracle Database Administration knowledge a plus Experience coding and debugging Microsoft PowerShell scripts and modules Team player with the ability to work well with changing priorities and demonstrated flexibility Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications and experience with remote or virtual teams
