Info Security Director

Overview The Global Security Engineering Director will be responsible for leading a team of Security Engineers with global responsibility for all cyber technology to prevent, detect and automate response to cyber incidents. This position is an enterprise domain expert applying broad technical skills, deep cyber knowledge and security-focused expertise in security software/systems engineering. This individual will lead cross-functional efforts driving security technical strategy within solutions. Responsibilities Lead a team accountable for evaluating, deploying and sustaining global technology to prevent, detect and automate response Lead security engineering direction as well as Influence peers, cross-functional partners, and IT leadership Act as coach and mentor for Security Engineering team Technical advisor and leader for information security solutions Staff team to drive global information security strategy Drive Security Engineering team performance and development Lead agile teams supporting security engineering solutions Passionate about building and developing good engineering practices and processes Determine, track and monitor key metrics Effectively communicates security risk and able to present to senior leadership Utilizes security expertise to define approaches to address emerging threats Understands security trends and leads direction security technology must take Qualifications Years of Experience Ten or more years of security experience in the design and implementation of detection and response systems Demonstrated effectiveness working across multiple business units to achieve results Experience leading security operations and engineering teams Experience supporting security solutions “on premise” and in the “cloud” Mandatory Technical Skills Proficiency with at least one programming language (Python, Java, Go) Proven experience deploying detection and response platforms against IT solutions Knowledge of standard IT technologies and cloud services Experience with cybersecurity tools, process, methods, and fundamentals Significant technical and leadership expertise in the following areas: Network Security, Compute, Endpoint and Mobile Security, Cloud Security, Application Security Mandatory Non-Technical Skills Expert influencing and leading distributes teams in a large corporate environment Excellent oral and written communication skills Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills Differentiating Competencies Solid technical aptitude, leadership, mentoring, and customer-facing skills Ability to create presentations and present complex concepts to executive leadership
