Senior Mechanical/ Piping Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood (trading locally as JSC WOOD KSS) is currently looking for a Senior Mechanical/ Piping Engineer to join our team in Atyrau. <br><br>Responsibilities: <br><ul><li> Devises new approaches to problems encountered </li><li> Plans, schedules, and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria </li><li> Performs work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements </li><li> Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers </li><li> Liaises with other design disciplines and equipment manufacturers on all mechanical related issued and acts as decisions maker on general aspects of packaged equipment design </li><li> Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations </li><li> Design and development, piping material specifications, preparation or checking of Equipment layout drawings, preparation or checking of design calculations and piping data sheets , preparation or checking of piping General Arrangement Drawings / piping Isometrics. Preparation or Piping MTO. </li><li> Evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques and procedures. </li><li> Ensure all HSEQ requirements are met within the Piping discipline in accordance with company procedures and management systems </li><li> Review of piping design documents and provide report to the Leads </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Experienced in Packaged equipment engineering/ Mechanical Engineering </li><li> Undergraduate degree in Engineering <br></li><li> Minimum of 5 - 7 years' experience in Mechanical/ Piping engineering <br></li><li> Experienced in Technical Bid Analysis and vendor documentation review </li><li> Communication Skills (written and oral) </li><li> Good English language skills </li><li> Assertive & confident </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
