The (BSD) Business Service Delivery unit is the heart of this mission. Business Services Delivery is looking for a Senior DevOps CI/CD Engineer. The DevOps Engineer is one who is responsible for planning and designing new Automations in the DevOps area. He / She will document all development activity and being team focused, they will work closely with senior engineers daily to understand the ecosystem and provide efficient solutions. One will oversee the documentation of all development activity, train non-technical personnel and assist with tracking performance metrics. In addition, the Senior Engineer integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities, acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment and may lead teams or projects and share expertise. Job Description What You Will Learn: Extensive planning and crafting new Automations in the DevSecOps area. Partnership and teamwork with collaborators of the Comcast organization. Technical Requirements: Experience implementing continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools and systems Experience with Open Source Technologies Expert that will have the expertise of third party integration such as rally, Jfrog / Artifactory / Octane integration with all external domains’ CI/CDs (Comcast & Partners) Experience with implementation of automated processes involving Orchestration (Jenkins, Concourse and/or other pipeline tools/artifacts) Experience with Observability / KPIs / Analytics and Pipeline Monitoring Experience with more than one coding language Working experience of GoCD, Concourse or any CICD Pipeline creation tools Intermediate to advanced proficiency in at least one of the following OO programming languages: Python, Ruby Experience with Kubernetes and Docker Demonstrated ability building, deploying and operating cloud native applications Ability to automate the deployment of infrastructure using tools like Terraform, or Ansible Understanding of IP networking and traffic scaling. Proven ability to design and present understandable and practical solutions to complex problems. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including visual presentation skills. Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations. Drives the continuous improvement of deployed systems by consistently looking for ways to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Supports operations by providing deployment and sustained engineering support for all responsible systems and technologies. Diagnoses and resolves escalated field issues. Python development experience. SQL, Oracle, Kafka, Network, Cloud experience. Experience with data quality and validation. Awareness Security Vulnerability issues Experience with SQL performance tuning and e2e process optimization. Responsibilities: Implement a Continuous Orion Integration and Deployment platform Increase deployment’s velocity and frequency / Cadence independent Allow to frequently update all environments (including production) Integrate w/ Dynamic Automation Testing Suite, using contextual Safe Customization guidelines Partner with CI leadership, engineers, program managers and data analysts to understand the needs. Design, build and launch efficient and reliable pipelines to move services across a number of platforms including real-time systems. Communicate, at scale, through multiple mediums: Presentations, dashboards, company-wide datasets, bots and more. Educate your team: Use your data and analytics experience to ‘see what’s missing’, identifying and addressing gaps in their existing logging and processes.
