<b>Reliability Engineer - Asset Management - Oil & Gas</b><br><b> Contract: 12 months ongoing</b><br><b> Location: Calgary</b><br><br>Working in the Maintenance & Reliability Department in Canadian Thermal & Conventional Heavy Oil (CHO), the contingent Maintenance & Reliability Engineer will be accountable to develop and implement maintenance strategies to mitigate the risk of equipment failure.<br><br>The engineer / technologist will be accountable for the development and implementation of Reliability standards, processes, and tools, as well as collaborating with the asset-based teams to actively manage the preventive maintenance program and optimize it to maximize reliability, efficiency, and safety.<br><br>In addition to taking initiative, this role has a high level of accountability, is deliverables focused and adapts quickly to changing priorities.<br><br>The role shall have experience scoping, planning, and executing Reliability improvement projects and developing, working with or implementing maintenance or operational integrity management system standards and processes.<br><br>The individual must have the ability to collaborate with subject matter experts, field-based maintenance & operations leadership and front-line personnel<br><br>Experience facilitating conversations with cross functional teams to achieve alignment and managing change through large stakeholders is required.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br> * Lead or support equipment Criticality Analysis and gap closure.<br> * Support data collection and closure of functional location/equipment hierarchy gaps according to data standards<br> * Utilize Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) tools and processes to develop risk-based asset management strategies for new facilities and/or major expansions.<br> * Analyze existing maintenance strategies and KPI's to determine opportunity for improvements and support or lead gap closure.<br> * Provide expertise to support or lead closure of site-specific Preventive maintenance programs gaps.<br> * Provide expertise in development of Equipment Bill of Materials and identifying critical & operating spare inventory.<br> * Lead equipment hierarchy and asset data development from small & large projects<br> * Support Process Safety Critical equipment identification and develops Maintenance Programs in alignment with SCE Performance Standards.<br> * Support maintenance work planning, scheduling and execution improvement initiatives<br> * Support the development of job aids and training materials to enhance knowledge and utilization of SAP PM Module.<br> * Support the development and reporting of M&R KPI's and dashboards including maintaining master data in an accurate and timely manner to ensure validity of the KPI's.<br> * Support the development of standards and processes that set the minimum requirements for Canadian Thermal & Conventional Heavy Oil (CHO) maintenance, reliability, and turnarounds.<br><br>Deliverables:<br> * Standard Functional Location and Equipment Hierarchy<br> * Risk based equipment criticalities<br> * Standardize and optimized Equipment Maintenance Strategies<br> * Standardize and optimized Maintenance Plans<br> * Equipment Bill of Materials and recommended inventory levels<br><br>Qualifications:<br> * Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.<br> * Engineering Degree or Engineering Technologist registered or eligible for registration with APEGA or ASET, as applicable.<br> * 15 years Engineering and/or Maintenance & Reliability Experience in Oil and Gas<br> * Experience in large facility operating environments, preferably upstream Thermal (SAGD) facilities, and ideally working in or directly with maintenance and operations teams.<br> * Knowledge and experience with safe work practices in oil and gas production accompanied by a superior safety attitude.<br> * 10 years' experience in Maintenance Management system and process development and implementation<br> * Familiarity with industry standards related to equipment reliability, safety, and risk management<br> * Knowledge in failure investigation and root cause determination<br> * Strong knowledge of SAP PM module<br> * Change management experience in managing change through<br> <br><b>About Petroplan</b><br> <br>Petroplan is the trusted, specialist global Talent Solutions partner of choice for employers and professionals in the Energy sector.
